Day 28 - Like Father Like Son

Hubby wears a fleece hat every day. Secretly, he calls it his "cozy". D has decided to follow in his father's footstep and now sports, and even sleeps in, his very own cozy.

Day 24 - The Man On the Moon Landed On the Roof!

Click on this picture to enlarge. I had to take a double take hen I walked by my window this morning. It looks as if a man landed spread eagle on the roof of our neighbor's house. Hope he survived his fall!

Day 19 - Do You See What I See?

I spent this morning excavating random toys from Grady's Little Tyke's car. He was very upset because he couldn't get his wooden flute out of the car. For some reason unbeknownst to man, he enjoys shoving toys into what is supposed to be the 'gas tank'. When I asked him why he kept stuffing his toys in the there he replied with such profound words of wisdom, "Because there is a hole there." Yes, I know, a future philosopher in the making!

Day 18 - A day of touch-ups

Hubby spent the day touching up all our molding, doors and window panes. It was a painful and time sucking job but it has made a HUGE difference. I can't believe all the work we are doing to move out of this house!!

Day 17 - Mmmmm, Cheetos

Nothing brightens a mood like Cheetos. The old puffy kind from my days of youth. They melt in your mouth and make you super thirsty!!

Day 16 - How I Spent My Snow Day

Not a fun way to spend a snow day.

Day 15 - Extreme Skating

Since Drake is home from school with me today he has been building an extreme skate park for his Tek Deck guys. He had to show me what happened when he launched the guy dressed as a snowman off the "Death Ramp". Due to the carnage and bloodshed from landing on his head, I am only showing the 'before' picture. You can thank me later!

Good thing I will be climbing into warm flannel sheets tonight!

Day 13 - Blast From the Past

While frantically throwing crap in boxes packing today, I came across a bunch of old pictures from my college days. Ironically, two days ago I reconnected with my old college friend, Sherri (in the picture), on Facebook and now I stumble across a picture of us at a tournament in Iowa - bizarre! Gotta love the sweaty poofy hair!

Day 12 - Proof I Have Boys

While digging in my pocket to pull out my keys to get into the main office I pulled this out instead. It is the gun from a Lego Star Wars figure. I had conviscated it from the 3 year old the other day on his way in to pre-school. (Don't think you are supposed to bring those types of things to a Christian school)  Sure hope I didn't violate our school's "no weapons" policy!

Day 11 - Yes, I Am Insane

Yes, the clock does say 10:18.... PM. And yes, I am on my way out the door to play a soccer game at 11:00 AT NIGHT!! I know, I know - what is wrong with me? What can I say? This lassie loves her soccer!

Day 10 - The Task That Daunts Me

Now I am sure you are thinking, "Kat, this is just one drawer. Suck it up and clean it!" Well fellow readers, I am ashamed to admit that we have *cough, cough* four of these drawers. That does not even include the drawers in the desk that we stuff stash stuff in. So I am now going to go and revel in all that is clutter. If I am not back by tomorrow please send someone to look for me .... please!

Day 9 - What Do You Do All Day??

As a pediatric therapist in the schools I am often asked what I do. I try and find big and impressive things to say, but in all reality I get to play with kids and help them grow. Not a bad job if you ask me. Even though the pay is low, I don't get monetary yearly bonuses or incentive trips I can definitely say that the rewards of my job are priceless!

Day 8 - Proof He Is His Father's Son

I hate to iron. I avoid it at all costs and buy my clothes accordingly. Hubby on the other hand -  likes to iron. So of course I snagged him up!! hubby that cooks ad irons... hello!! Score one for the lassie. Along comes leprechaun number 2. He is obsessed with ironing. He even got a toy iron for Christmas last year but now he has moved on to bigger and better. Now he will only use the real iron. This morning he was ironing all his clean clothes - even his pajama bottoms! Yep, so my husband's child.

Day 7 - Proof This Lassie Lives In Cheeseland

I pass this sign every day - TWICE. There are still days it makes me laugh. Yet, as often as I have driven by, I have never stopped to go in. I am sure the Cheese Castle sells all the cheese paraphernalia that I could ever dream of. Don't even get me started on the real cheese. Mmmmm, cheese. That last sentence is the exact reason I don't stop. I would never see my feet again!

Day 6 - Crack of Dawn

I am sure you have heard the saying "The crack of dawn" before. For me, that is when I leave for work. At the butt crack of dawn. I am always amazed at the difference each morning brings. Some days are full of reds and oranges while others are more pink. This morning the sky was various shades of blues and orange. The color combination took me off guard. I love looking out and seeing the quiet and still silhouettes of the other houses and trees. It evokes such tranquility and peace. I also find myself challenged to "really" capture the true beauty with my camera but I am trying. I keep reminding myself that that is one of my goals for the 365 photo challenge. I can't get better if I don't take the shots!

Day 5 - My New Favorite Shirt

I am always on the hunt for shirts that stray from my typical black and/or white (though I can never pass up another of either color)I saw this one peaking out of a clearance rack and was instantly intrigue. I figured since it was on clearance it HAD to be a sign that I so needed this shirt... right? Yes, I thought so too. Plus it goes with my olive drab cords with the orange stripe down the side. What can I say... this lassie likes her orange and green!

Day 4 - intrigue

This is the piece of art work that is displayed on a shelf on the way up our staircase. Hubby and I had received a gift certificate about five years ago for Christmas. We never really shopped in this 'artsy' store before so we went in thinking there wouldn't be anything we would like. We stumbled across this piece and almost at the same time said "that one". I can't pin point what particularly drew me/us to it, maybe the simplicity of it, but I love to look at it none-the-less. I love the smoothness yet complexity of it. It is something I see many times every day yet I still see something different every time I look at it.

Day 3 - Now I Lay Thee

Ever wonder where this lassie rests her little red head every night? Well, now you know! While I hate our comforter, (it was the only thing Hubby and I could agree on - he insisted on nothing frilly or girlie), I did spend A LOT of time painting this room. Yes, I did all the painting. Impressed? Yeah, I thought you would be.

Day 2 - Just a Peek

Here is a glimpse into the inner working's of this lassie. yep, it is the inside of my purse. You can see all the essential's that I need to leave the house minus my cell phone which was charging on the counter when I took the picture. It has what every girl needs - chap stick, wallet, check book, gum, iPod and ear phones, a Christmas card, some coupons and last but not least - hand lotion. What can I say.... I am a simple girl!

Day 1 - My Latest Addiction

I decided with the new year to take on the challenge of Project 365. I have been contemplating the idea for quite some time and finally decided to take the leap. So here I go! Will you join me? It's not like I don't have enough on my plate already so why not take on one more extra large portion. My goal is to take a different perspective on my life, through pictures, and to hopefully become a better photographer in the process. You can only learn through trying right? So, without further ado let's get this party started!

Day One - My Latest Addiction
